The Top Ten Tuesday Meme is brought to you via
The Broke and The Bookish
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Ahhhhhhhh! I haven't posted a Top Ten Tuesday since October?! It doesn't seem like it's been that long. (It also doesn't seem like High School Musical came out 10 years ago. I guess this is what it feels like to become an adult. Life just flies right on by.) But, anyway, I've missed this little ol' meme.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic is "Books Recently Added to My TBR". You guys, I do not exaggerate when I say that I add a new book to my Goodreads to-read every day. There are currently 663 books on my to-read shelf. When will I stop? When I get to 1,000?
Eh, probably not...
Eh, probably not...
Here is my list:

favorite authors and I had no idea that she had a new book coming out until like two or three weeks ago. (Thanks to Nic Stone for the heads up!) But, that synopsis, though! Jodi is tackling race! I'm excited! I can't wait! I need it now! 7. Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard. Gorgeous, gorgeous cover and intriguing synopsis. The book deals with best friends and mental illness. Yep, I want it! 8. Summer Days & Summer Nights: Twelve Love Stories by Various Authors. Ahem, "various authors" includes Stephanie Perkins, Leigh Bardugo, Libba Bray, Cassandra Clare and more! We are talking YA heavyweights, people! I'm so excited for this. I've never read anything contemporary romance from Cassandra or Leigh so I'm so eager to see them write outside of their usual genres. NEED NEED NEED. 9. If You Come Softly by Jacqueline Woodson. I'm not sure why I've never read this one. But, it was recently brought to my attention and I added it to my to-read shelf so that I wouldn't forget about it again. A poignant story of tragedy and diversity, I feel like this is less of a to-read and more of a must-read for me. 10. The First Time She Drowned by Kerry Kletter. Everyone keeps talking about how amazing this debut is and I just need it. Another story about mental illness, the synopsis has me hooked -- "The beautiful struggle of a girl desperate for the one relationship that has caused her the most pain."
I love the cover for Beautiful Broken Things. I am also waiting for The First Time She Drowned as well. Great list, Teisha. :)

Thank you for dropping by, Jess! And, I agree, Beautiful Broken Things is stunning. I hope the inside is just as great as the outside.
DeleteOoh I didn't know Jodi Picoult had a new book! Thanks for that. :-) I hope you enjoy these books when you get around to them.
ReplyDeleteHi, Chrissi! I was surprised to hear about Jodi's book, too! Glad I can help spread the word. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteThe Wrath and the Dawn novellas? Adding those to my tbr now! :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT and Music Monday.
Yes! I'm so excited for more Wrath and the Dawn goodies. I love that world so much. Thanks, Lauren!
DeleteOh I LOVE Diane in Orange Is The New Black. I can't wait to get my hands on that book!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT! :)
Diane is awesome! I can't wait to read this story about her life and her family. Deportation and immigration is a hot topic and I think it's important to consider the perspective of those who are affected by our system. Thank you for commenting, Giovanna!
DeleteThe cover for Beautiful Broken Things is beautiful and it sounds interesting! I'm going to have to check that out.
