Top Ten Tuesday // Wishes I'd Ask The Book Genie To Grant Me

The Top Ten Tuesday Meme is brought to you via
The Broke and The Bookish

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Can you believe that October is more than halfway over?  I don't even want to think about it.  October is definitely my favorite month of the year.  I love the pumpkin obsessions, the air becomes crisp, the leaves begin to change colors and fall.  And, of course, there's Halloween (but we'll talk more about that next week).

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic is "Wishes I'd Ask The Book Genie To Grant Me".  I found this a very fun (and easy) topic to write about because my bookish wishlist is neverending.
Let the wish-granting begin...

Here is my list:

1. Meet Sarah J. Maas. Sarah is by far my favorite Fantasy author. Her writing is so beautiful and she is such an inspiration to me as a writer.   I love the world she has created, and her characters.  And, I would love to have the chance to meet her one day.  2. Read the Next Two Books In the Throne Of Glass Series... Like, Now. I read Queen of Shadows last month and I loved it. Waiting until next year for Throne of Glass #5 is going to be so incredibly torturous. 3. Become a Member of Aelin's Squad/Court.  The members of Aelin's Court are badass and lovable.  I want to be one of their best friends.  (I could have made this list about ALL the Throne of Glass things, but I didn't want this list to be too repetitive.)  So, we're moving on...  4. Meet Colleen Hoover.  Colleen is my favorite New Adult author.  She is the reason why I fell in love with the genre.  I have read nearly all of her books (I haven't read all of the novellas/companion novels).  Her love stories give me life and feed my inner hopeless romantic.  5. A Barnes & Noble Gift Card That Has $INFINTY.  Cause reasons.  6. Visit the Set Of/Be An Extra for Any Book-to-Movie/TV Adaptation I Want.  Back in December, I had the chance to work on the set of the Paper Towns movie as an extra.  It was such an amazing experience.  Not only was I on a film set, but I got a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing one of my favorite books to life.  It felt so amazing to be a part of that project, no matter how small the role.  (Also, I stood in John Green's presence and I swear I became like 75038% smarter.)  7. My Own Personal Library.  Preferably one that looks like this.  But this one is gorgeous, too.  8. The Winner's Kiss.  The Winner's Crime floored me, simple and point-blank.  I just really really really need to know what happens to Kestrel and Arin.  9. The Focus & Will Power to Sit Down and Write My Own Book.  Writing a novel is one of my life goals.  But, boy oh boy it is not easy at all.  10. To Then See That Book Published.

Wishing on a dandelion works, too...

  1. If you get your $INFINTY, you need to share some of that!

    1. Hahaha, I might share "some". But, I can be very selfish when it comes to my books :) Thanks for commenting!

  3. So many of our wishes are the same! Infinity money and writing and book and Sarah is a bookish deity and we NEED to know what happens in the rest of that series like now!

    1. You know what they say -- great minds think alike. And I agree, Sarah is a bookish deity. Love her and her word so much! Thanks for commenting, Britt!

  4. THIS LIST IS PERFECT. Seriously, I'd want these all granted too! Especially the tidbit on getting the next two ToG books. The wait is TORTURE.

    1. Thanks so much, Mariah! Yes, the wait for those books really is torture. I would like to have the books while Queen of Shadows is still somewhat fresh in my mind. Because, this time next year I won't remember the details and I'll have to do some rereading. But, also -- curiosity. I NEED to know what happens next. Thanks for commenting :)

  10. Oh man - you got to be on the set of a book to movie adaptation? That is absolutely awesome! I should have added that to my list. With the overflow of books on my bookshelf, I think I'm starting to form my own personal library, albeit one that's not too gorgeous, but messy...

    1. It was quite an experience! It was a long day, but very fun and worthwhile. I also have enough books to build a library, but (living with my parents and my siblings) I just don't have the space. I'd like a room JUST for my books. My stacks are overflowing and there's little to no organization. I hope we both get our wishes granted some day. Thanks, Zed!

  11. I think many of the top 10 wishes include a good library. Love the infinity card too, so we're not stealing from authors! I think for libraries you may need to look to your childhood for inspiration...

  12. I love 9 & 10! I don't know why I didn't think to put that on my list. I wrote the first chapter to a couple of my longer stories for my creative writing class but I never revisited them.

  13. #6!!! Number 6 would be EVERYTHING. And I cannot believe you got the chance to do that!! I am like, giddy excited for you! You got to like, BE there, and see these people, OMG! Did you talk to anyone!? Excuse me while I fangirl! Also, those libraries are GORGEOUS, and they still seem "homey" and comfortable! And I NEED to read QoS! How have I managed not to for this long!? Great list!
