Top 10 Books in the Contemporary Genre

via The Broke and the Bookish

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Once again, it's time for my Top Ten, via The Broke and the Bookish, and today we are talking about genres.  The genre I chose to discuss is: CONTEMPORARY!

I love YA, and Sci-Fi, but I love contemporary more because this genre provides lots of variety, as you'll see with my list. Enjoy;)

1)  The Fault In Our Stars - John Green
2)  The Truth About Forever - Sarah Dessen
3)  A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Housseni
4)  My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult
5)  The Perks of Being A Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
6)  Every Day - David Levithan
7)  This Lullaby - Sarah Dessen
8)  The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold
9)  The Last Song - Nicholas Sparks
10)  The Pact - Jodi Picoult

Are you a fan of the contemporary genre?  If so, what are some of your favorite contemporary works?  And, if not, what genre and books do you prefer?

Let me know in the comments, and be sure to link to your Top Ten!

Talk to you soon;)
